DOT Family Day designates the third Sunday of October as a citywide day for scheduled, government‑endorsed affection among families.

Love Stops will be installed citywide as spaces to reconnect, with Tenderness Officers guiding the “Five Pillars of Family Love.”

The Family Affection App schedules Hug Intervals and supports families in meeting conversation/activity “Bonding Quotas.”

Pre‑approved affirmations are provided to help families express appreciation. Leaders framed the initiative as part of a broader commitment to civic tenderness.
