Real-Time Affection Conditions

The Department of Tenderness is committed to monitoring love flows and emotional traffic across New York City. Our Tenderness Monitoring Center (TMC), located in the Heart District, receives real-time feeds from affection surveillance cameras placed in key romantic zones. These cameras allow us to track levels of affection and tenderness, ensuring smooth emotional transit throughout the City.

Real-Time Affection Cameras

You can view real-time affection conditions in the City through our 511TenderNY Affection Map, New York’s official source for romantic traffic and emotional events. This map displays data from the Department of Tenderness and other love-monitoring agencies to help New Yorkers navigate spontaneous hugs, group embraces, and public displays of affection (PDAs) without congestion.

The 511TenderNY map provides live updates on current affection events, cuddle bottlenecks, and hug opportunities throughout the five boroughs.

How to Use the 511TenderNY Affection Map

• Click “Affection Legend” on the upper right-hand side to select the conditions you wish to view (i.e. Group Cuddles, Intense Eye Contact).
• Zoom in on affection hotspots and click on the map’s icons (i.e. heart symbols, cuddle zones) to see real-time information on affection levels at a specific location.
• Please note, some cameras may be temporarily out of service due to extreme weather or excessive displays of love. Cameras will be restored as soon as the overflow of emotion is balanced.

These cameras provide updated still images of love flows and spontaneous connections across the city. Our team may reposition these cameras to ensure optimal affection monitoring and to capture tender moments from multiple perspectives.

Note: Department of Tenderness affection cameras do not record footage; they simply provide real-time updates to ensure all residents can safely engage in displays of affection.
